Have you ever entered a photography contest?

Neither have I.
But I came across this one from SmugMug, the web host of many photographers and their pictures that has a really good prize if you come in 1st or 2nd place.

I thought you might be interested so I am posting so info here:
1) They are not a free hosting site, but for 5 bucks the basic package is very affordable and offers some nice options.
2) hey do not run contests often.
3) They are the small "family" type site that competes with the big boys.
4) Read their "Why Pay" page to find out why it's worth it.
5) Then enter the contest for your chance to win. You have until September 30th, 2011.

Who knows, you could end up winning free hosting for 5 years!

Experimenting

I am experimenting with the posts to this blog.

Usually I sign into Blogger and create the post, but since Google uses Picasa, I thought I would try and post through Picasa... didn't go so well... and I had to come back here to correct/finish the post.
Seems some options are missing from Picasa: posting time options, some formatting, adding captions etc.
All I can say is "frustrating". :(

So if the posts look wonky, let me know in the comments so I can fix them as you view is different from my signed in view and we all could use a little help right ;)

So when I took this picture, a kid asked me why I took it.
Told him I collect vanity plates but could delete if he wanted me too.
He said it was OK at which point I asked him what it meant.

Can you guess what it means?
